An Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent caught with cocaine after fleeing from Texarkana's drug task force received probation and 60 days in jail in January from a Miller County Judge. "Thank you," Michael Spurlock, 40, whispered to prosecutors as he left the courthouse in cuffs. Spurlock was given a chance by Circuit Judge Brent Haltom to live crime free for three years, while supervised by Miller County probation officials, and have his record wiped clean. Act 4346 allows offenders a second chance if they live a crime free life while under state mandated supervision. According to court documents Spurlock had been under the watchful eye of Bi-State Narcotics Task Force officers when he was pulled over June 17, 2009. Spurlock led them on a short chase before his apprehension. |
