MAN INDICTED FOR VALUM ON RED RIVER DEPOT WITHOUT SCRIP
Charles C. Allen, 49, of Atlanta, Texas, was indicted on charges of
simple possession of a controlled substance. According to the
indictment, on Dec. 1, 2009, Allen was found in possession of
Alprazolam, a Schedule II controlled substance, while on the Red River
Army Depot. If convicted, Allen faces up to one year in federal
prison. This case is being investigated by the Red River Army Depot
Criminal Investigations Division and prosecuted by Assistant U.S.
Attorney Denise O. Simpson.

Longview Residents Robbed at Gunpoint
Police were dispatched to a robbery on South Street in the early
morning hours of April 13th. When officers arrived, the victims told
police that two black males had come in to their residence and
demanded money. At least one of these suspects was armed with a
handgun. The victims stated that the robbers were wearing all black.
One of the robbers had on a ski mask and the other had a bandana over
his face. The victims stated the suspects took cash and other
personal items and ran out the door of the residence and toward Family
Dollar store.

Man Arrested in Texarkana Homicide

A murder at Texarkana's Willow Apartments leads to a 22 year-old man behind bars.
Police were at The Willow Apartments on East 35th Street responding to a man down call when they heard gunshots from the back of the complex. Officers requested back up and immediately began to search for the location of where the shots were fired. Officers located a large group of people dispersing from the back of the parking lot. Officers continued though the crowd and they found 21-year-old Terry Koontz lying in the parking lot. Koontz was declared dead at the scene.
Police believe that Koontz may have been in some sort of fight that resulted in his murder.
The Texarkana Arkansas Criminal Investigation Division detectives identified the shooter as Cortez Rashod Hooper, B/M 22 YOA of Texarkana. An arrest warrant for First Degree Murder was issued, and detectives continued in their attempts to locate Hooper.
He was arrested Friday afternoon in Prescott.
